Job Description

Overview The Human Resources Division provides operational and strategic support for staffing, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compensation, training and organization development, and succession planning for the ACS. Position Summary Reports to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition and provides human resources consultation and support to ACS Hiring Managers on talent acquisition needs. Acts as a liaison to other HR functions when necessary. Familiar with a variety of HR concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks that require creativity and latitude. Position Accountabilities Recruit candidates for assigned positions in accordance with company guidelines and governmental regulations. Duties include: developing recruiting strategies with the hiring manager, conducting comprehensive interviews, completing background screenings and references, developing salary recommendations/offer packages and salary negotiations for exempt and non-exempt positions. Effectively coordinate recruiting, resume distribution and applicant tracking through the online system. Train hiring managers on the online system and process. Build and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers and interface with all levels of management to meet requirement needs. Schedule candidate interviews, including travel booking and processing travel expenses. Proactively source candidates through networks, social media, search firms (retained and fee-based), job fairs, college recruiting, local events, and other outlets. Maintain local and national networks to ensure candidate flow and service levels. Work with managers to develop effective interview questions, including competency-based questions and rubrics. Develop and implement procedures for recruiting, selecting and hiring, and collaborate with HR Generalists and Business Partners to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Facilitate comprehensive onboarding for new employees. Support the administration of the Summer Intern program, including candidate sourcing and coordination with external vendors and internal managers. May back up HR Business Partners by answering frontline questions regarding performance management, benefits, compensation, and recruitment. Other duties as assigned. Experience, Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field. Three or more years of full life cycle recruiting experience; global recruiting experience preferred. Experience recruiting professionals in multiple disciplines including IT, membership management, publishing, marketing, and general office support. Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of immigration laws and processing. Knowledge of employment law and other HR laws. Recruiting techniques including proactive social media sourcing (e.g., LinkedIn). Interviewing techniques with ability to summarize strengths and weaknesses for hiring managers. Strong experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Strong understanding of compensation plans and ability to negotiate with candidates. Ability to stay up to date on talent market trends and provide recommendations. Requires travel on a quarterly basis at minimum. This role has been approved for remote work.
